Coaching Staff


Janet Albert - Owner/Director of Coaching

Janet Albert, Director of Advantage Soccer Academy (founded in 2003).  Janet brings 23 years of soccer coaching and development including 5 years of women's soccer coaching at Warren Township High school in Gurnee, IL, and 4 years of coaching at the nationally ranked club, Sockers FC Chicago. Janet has a USSF National Youth coaching license coupled with a USSF National C license. Janet is the former Director of Coaching for the Inner City Youth Program which is run by the IYSA. She has been an Olympic Development Coach (ODP) from 2004-2013. Janet has aided in the development of several state, regional and national ODP players as well as FIRE ACADEMY PLAYERS and has had been apart of the Regional II ODP Staff in the past.  In 2012, Janet founded Honor Soccer Club which became the North Division of Eclipse Elite Soccer Club providing excellent technical developmental player progression in the travel soccer arena.  Janet has now moved on to full time training athletes to achieve a higher standard in the sport of soccer and futsal. Janet also served as an assistant coach for the WPSL team Milwaukee Torrent. 

Brett Robinson- Trainer

 Brett played Men's Soccer for Trinity International University in Deerfield for 4 years.  In that time he was a three-time CCAC All-Academic Team (2013-2015) and NCCAA Scholar-Athlete (2015). Brett was an outstanding player and supported teammate for the Trojans.  He recently interned with Honor Soccer Club in December 2015 through May 2016. Beyond measure, Brett was able to run training sessions, coach Honor travel games, give proper feedback, and help players make technical corrections.  Brett's approach and kind spirit was well accepted by the Honor Soccer Club athletes and coaching staff. Brett currently achieved his "D" USSF license and coached Trinity International as a Graduate Assistant for the Men's Soccer team and graduated with a MA In Leadership in spring of 2018. Brett currently works for College Park Athletic Club in Deerfield, IL and has also earned a certificate in CSCS (Strength and Conditioning Specialist) and FMS (Functional movement screen level II).

Teagon Albert -Trainer

Teagon is continuing her soccer career at Olivet Nazarene University. Teagon, a former member of the Eclipse Select ECNL team, is pursuing a career in Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish. Teagon has an amazing passion for teaching and hopes to teach abroad after College.  Teagon is a very good technical trainer. Her own hard work and dedication brought her up to college level of play after rejoining the sport of soccer at age 14 after incurring career ending injuries as a pre-elite gymnast. Teagon is mostly available for training in the summers due to the high demands of college. Teagon played semi-professional soccer in 2019 for the WPSL team Milwaukee Torrent and is currently continuing her college soccer play at Olivet in the fall. She has aspirations to play professional soccer in the future after completing her education at Olivet.

Korbin Albert -Trainer

Korbin will be a freshman on the women's soccer team at Notre Dame University in the fall of 2021. She has played travel soccer since the age of five, and is currently on the nationally ranked U19 Eclipse ECNL team. Korbin has been coaching for Advantage since she was 12 years old and now is one of our most technically advanced trainers. She has participated in 3v3 tournaments since childhood, and has won numerous national champion titles. Korbin was apart of the U16 women's US National Team and played on the women's US Futsal National Team for many years. Along side her sister Teagon, Korbin also semi-professional soccer in 2019 for the WPSL team Milwaukee Torrent. This summer (2021) Korbin is playing for the Chicago Red Stars Reserve team. Come out to watch a game and take a picture with the team. It is fast pace and a great learning experience for aspiring players.

Emily Fix- Assistive Trainer

Emily is currently on the GA FC United U18 soccer team. She is a very talented and hard working soccer player. Emily has been coaching for Advantage for a little over a year. She is our assistive trainer which means she participates in the training sessions as well as helps with set up, clean up, and is an example leader for activities during the sessions. It is great to have her around as a helping hand to keep training sessions moving smoothly.
