Janet Albert - Owner/Director of Coaching

Janet Albert, Director of Advantage Soccer Academy (founded in 2003). Janet brings 23 years of soccer coaching and development including 5 years of women's soccer coaching at Warren Township High school in Gurnee, IL, and 4 years of coaching at the nationally ranked club, Sockers FC Chicago. Janet has a USSF National Youth coaching license coupled with a USSF National C license. Janet is the former Director of Coaching for the Inner City Youth Program which is run by the IYSA. She has been an Olympic Development Coach (ODP) from 2004-2013. Janet has aided in the development of several state, regional and national ODP players as well as FIRE ACADEMY PLAYERS and has had been apart of the Regional II ODP Staff in the past. In 2012, Janet founded Honor Soccer Club which became the North Division of Eclipse Elite Soccer Club providing excellent technical developmental player progression in the travel soccer arena. Janet is now exclusively training athletes to achieve a higher standard in the sport of soccer and mental training. Janet also served as an assistant coach for the WPSL team Milwaukee Torrent in 2019.

Teagon Albert -Trainer & Administrative Director
Teagon graduated from ONU in 2022 and competed 4-years in Soccer & Diving for the school. While at Olivet she was the captain of the soccer and diving team for 2 years. Teagon has an Elementary Education degree with a minor in Spanish and ESL from ONU. She has a strong passion for teaching and uses those skills to patiently coach and mentor athletes. Teagon is a very good technical trainer, in which her own hard work and dedication brought her up to college level of play after rejoining the sport of soccer at age 14. She played semi-professional soccer in 2019 for the WPSL team Milwaukee Torrent. Teagon is currently finishing her Masters at University of Northern Colorado where she completed on their D1 Diving team. Teagon plans to play semi-pro this summer (2023) and will return as a technical trainer for Advantage.

Korbin Albert -Trainer
After finishing her sophomore year on the women's soccer team at Notre Dame University, Korbin was offered a professional deal with Paris Saint-Germain F.C. (same club that Messi, Mbappe, & Neymar play for). She is currently living in Paris and playing for PSG full-time. Korbin has been helping coach for Advantage since she was 12 and now is one of our most technically advanced trainers. Korbin recently played for Team USA in the 2022 U20 World Cup in Costa Rica and is not apart of the U23 US National Team. She also played on the women's US Futsal National Team for many years and made appearances on the U16 US National Team.

Ella Richards- Part-time Trainer
This is Ella's second season coaching for our summer program, but she has been an Advantage athlete since she was U8. She just finished her sophomore year at D1 Boston College where she received recognition for her skill and goal scoring abilities. Ella is upbeat, enthusiastic, and very knowledgeable in the sport of soccer. Her positive attitude makes her an excellent coach/role model on and off the field. We are excited to have such an amazing athlete coaching again with us this summer.
